Refurbishment of Rooms
So, we’ve had some time to catch our breath and take stock of what needs to be done around the building. Some things need to be repaired, some things need to be replaced and… some things need to refurbished. Some things as in the rooms. All of them.
Now, don’t get us wrong, They were clean. They were functional. But they lacked a certain je ne sais quoi… Of course, if we had the chance, we’d rebuild the rooms from scratch, knock down a few walls and a maybe build up into the attic and out into the garden. Ok, not quite, but you get the idea.
What we have done, however, is start to refresh the rooms. We are laying new carpets and we are repainting the rooms. The bathrooms are being retiled and some of the furniture has been replaced already. By furniture we mean… everything. New beds. New headboards. New chairs. New wardrobes. New in-room beverage facilities. All new. The curtains have been replaced with a beautiful tartan and check blend and we have new linens and throws for the beds and chairs.
All in all, it’s really lifted the rooms and given them a new lease of life. There’s still a lot to be done yet!
Why not book yourself in for a short stay and make the most of it?
